Manage pests all year round
PEST INSPECTION... Qualified technicians from Greedy Gecko will travel to your home or
business to assist with pest management problems.
WITH just a couple of weeks left in the competi-
tion, Yorke Peninsula is getting extremely U.G.L.Y.
Minlaton Hotel's Mardi Ramstrom will wrap up
her U.G.L.Y. (Understandable, Generous, Likable
You) Bartender of the Year campaign, which rais-
es money for the Leukaemia Foundation, with a
Melbourne Cup luncheon.
"So far, I have done a few quirky bar game
fundraisers such as balancing a dollar coin on a
lemon and guess how many lollies in the jar,"
"We also ran a Get Naughty for Charity evening
where the Naughty Shop from Wallaroo came
down and we served cocktails."
Mardi also has raffle tickets for sale, $5 each or
$10 for three.
"The last fundraiser will be a Melbourne Cup
three-course luncheon on November 6 costing $30
with $5 from each ticket to go to U.G.L.Y.," she said.
"I didn't really know much about the competi-
tion until representatives came into the bar and
told me about it so I looked into it further and
thought it was a really good cause to support.
"I am doing quite well with the fundraising hav-
ing raised about $2000 and at the end of the com-
petition I might do a doorknock; I hope to raise
$5000 all up."
