AFTER eight years in Stansbury, Rob
and Georgie Rankine are pleased to
announce the opening of the Deck @
In conjunction with their landlords,
the Meegan family, and Rob's father
David and partner Jo, the long-awaited
project was completed just a few weeks
"The new deck has been amazingly
popular since opening on December 23
with Adelaide band The B-Sharps
supplying the tunes," Rob said.
"We have seating for 20 people, and
many have taken the opportunity to
enjoy a meal and a glass of wine
overlooking Oyster Bay.
"Since Christmas, the stunning
weather has made a seat on the deck
hard to find!"
Since the opening, the Dalrymple
has hosted live music on December 30
with Fina, and on Sunday the
extremely popular local band Drun
Kons-Unday performed its first gig at
Sunday sessions continue the whole
way through January with Adam
Bellchambers on January 13, Josh
Rudduck on January 20, and Squirrel
Grip booked to appear on Sunday
January 27, the Sunday of the
Australia Day long weekend.
"Sundays have proved a very
popular day to have a drink and enjoy
some live acoustic style music," Rob
"We have booked mainly local acts
and encourage more local artists to
contact us as we hope to make the
Dalrymple one of the premier live
music venues on YP."
It's not just fun on the Deck though,
as the Dalrymple has become
renowned for quality dining at
Rob's wife Georgie has been
responsible for a transformation in the
dining room, with the Dalrymple
expanding from good pub meals to a
menu with a modern Australian feel.
"Recently, we added two
experienced chefs to our team,"
"Scott Mather and Madison Duffy
bring years of experience and have
both cooked extensively in Europe.
"Maddy has added her favourite dish
of slow cooked ribs to the menu and
this has been a real hit, along with
options like beef cheek pie, lamb
roulade and slow roasted pork belly."
These new menu options
complement the existing menu, with
quality seafood, steaks and schnitzels
also a focus.
"We purchase our seafood from B&A
Fisheries in Stansbury, and buy our
meat from Adelaide's premier supplier
of Coorong Angus Beef, Richard
Gunner's Fine Meats," Georgie said
"We also are proud to use
condiments made locally by Kaye and
Rob said, currently, his favourite
dish on the menu is the Thai beef
salad and he is pleased diners can
choose vegetarian and gluten free
The Dalrymple has a kids' playroom
and a strong family focus, often
hosting groups of mothers and babies.
The friendly staff at the Dalrymple
look forward to your next visit and
encourage you to book to secure your
